A+ (Plus) Medical Business Services, Inc. is a Medical Practice Consulting Firm. Based in Morehead City, we work with physicians and medical practices throughout North Carolina. We perform billing, collections, physician credentialing, medical practice assessments, develop medical business plans and implement new practice start-ups.

	Margaret C. Merrick, MD, President/CEO and Co-Founder, possesses 22 years of practice operations and management experience. A Board-Certified Pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Merrick in 1999 left a successful private group practice to devote her full energy to A+. Her areas of expertise include financial management and analysis, development of business plans, and creation of strategic alliances. She has implemented the practice start-ups for numerous physicians. Dr. Merrick and the Firm routinely work with physicians, administrators and staffs to establish sound medical business fundamentals that help maintain a productive and profitable practice. 	Tammy L. Lenhart, CPC, CCP and Co-Founder, has 20 years of medical office operations experience with particular expertise in CPT-4 and ICD-9-CM coding. On a daily basis, Ms. Lenhart supervises the billing and insurance for primary care and specialty practices. She works closely with A+ clients to optimize billing procedures and collection processes, perform chart audits, and provide coding training. Ms. Lenhart has achieved the accreditation of Certified Professional Coder (CPC) with the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) and earned designation as a Certified Coding Professional (CCP). 	Linda Baake Jarvis, B.S., possesses three decades of experience in the management of multi-specialty surgical groups. She is a recognized expert in the business and human resource management of surgical practices. Special interests include contract negotiation, preparation and maintenance of budgets, and facilitation of staff development. Her achievements range in scope from management of daily business operations to obtaining a Certificate of Need for an ambulatory surgical center. Ms. Baake Jarvis has implemented the practice start-up and credentialing for fifteen surgeons. She is a member of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), The North Carolina Medical Group Managers (NCMGM), and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
