Margaret C. Merrick, MD, President/CEO and Co-Founder, possesses 26 years of practice operations and management experience. Dr. Merrick is a Board-Certified Pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her areas of expertise include financial management and analysis, development of business plans, and creation of strategic alliances. She has implemented the practice start-ups for numerous physicians. Dr. Merrick and the Firm routinely work with physicians, administrators and staffs to establish sound medical business fundamentals that help maintain a productive and profitable practice. Dr. Merrick is an active member of the North Carolina Medical Society. In addition, she is a member of the North Carolina Medical Group Managers and the American Medical Billing Association.

Tammy L. Lenhart, CPC, CCP, CMRS and Co-Founder, has 23 years of medical office operations experience with particular expertise in CPT-4 and ICD-9-CM coding. On a daily basis, Ms. Lenhart supervises the billing and insurance for primary care and specialty practices. She works closely with A+ clients to optimize billing procedures and collection processes, perform chart audits, and provide coding training. Ms. Lenhart is a graduate of the American Medical Training Institute in Miami, Florida. She has achieved the accreditations of Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Professional (CCP), and Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS). Ms. Lenhart currently holds memberships with the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC), the American Medical Billing Association (AMBA), and Professional Healthcare Institute of America (PHIA). Linda Baake Jarvis, B.S., possesses three decades of experience in the management of multi-specialty surgical groups. She is a recognized expert in the business and human resource management of surgical practices. Special interests include contract negotiation, preparation and maintenance of budgets, and facilitation of staff development. Her achievements range in scope from management of daily business operations to obtaining a Certificate of Need for an ambulatory surgical center. Ms. Baake Jarvis has implemented the practice start-up and credentialing for fifteen surgeons. She is a member of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), The North Carolina Medical Group Managers (NCMGM), and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Glenn L. Speed, has over 12 years of medical office operations experience with particular expertise in CPT-4 and ICD-9-CM coding. On a daily basis, Ms. Speed conducts the billing and insurance for primary care and specialty practices. In addition, she fields calls and questions from clients and coordinates on-site training sessions. She is a member of the American Medical Billing Association.

Jennie W. Odham, has specialized for 20 years in accounts receivable evaluation and insurance follow-up. She is an expert in denial prevention, correct use of modifiers, and maintenance of current A/R. This knowledge proves invaluable to A+ consulting clients who need assistance with the evaluation and correction of unacceptably aged accounts. In addition to her billing credentials, Ms. Odham is experienced in business and front office supervision, daily reconciliation procedures, and coordination of patient flow. She has worked with high volume practices ranging from orthopedics to cardiology. Ms. Odham serves as the liaison between A+ clients and third party payers.
